  • 1 site only, when I download a pdf file, I get an error message that the file is a jsp (not a PDF) and Adobe cannot open it. How can I fix?

I have found this problem with 2 different browsers, but had success with a 3d. I noticed that the file on Firefox was with Zoom Downloader download. Could be the problem? (Don't know whence came the Downloader Zoom). I use Firefox 18 and Win 7.

Try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all the actions file.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

  • The file system on which "/ Users/SterlingButters/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines/Boot Camp/Boot Camp.vmwarevm' lies is very low on free space."

I get the following error message when I try to start my VM and I don't know why, I have repaired permissions and I have about 50 GB of spare on the partition. It was great to work for a long time and the only thing I can think of, that I have done before, was until I started getting the error message I mounted the BootCamp partition and moved the files into it, then dismantled. I looked towards the top of the topic online and don't have much, (I usually are not) then I came to the experts for help. So, really, I just need to be able to start up in my VM without the error message, THANKS!

This error has nothing to do with Boot camp as far as I know. Your mac partition is running out of free space. To resolve this issue, you must first remove file from Mac partition.

For starters, I wud you suggest to empty the trash., remove files from the downloads folder. delete the old files, movies, music, photos etc... choice is up to you.

Please launch disk utility (/ applications/utilities) and check the free space of Mac HD.

  • After the draws will not start due to a missing file ("' / users/username/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/13.0/dummy") what is it?

  • Cannot create the folder/users/username/library/preferences/adobe/adobe muse cc libraries

    How to solve this problem?

Looks like the permissions on your computer is defined oddly. You could try to 'Repair permissions' in Apple disk utility.

  • "Error when access to the files of preference... Please check the file permissions and try again.

I tried installing After Effects test and received the error message:

"After that the effects cannot continue: error when access to the files instead of inside" / users/Kelly/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects / 13.5 ", please check the file permissions and try again. '"

I'm unable to check file permissions because the file path does not exist.

    I'm on a 2013 15 "retina Macbook Pro running OSX 10.9.5

Premiere Pro downloaded successfully. After effects will be not open and wont let me start a trial (he thinks I've already started?)

  • 'Error when accessing the preference files' - no preference files not created

This is similar to another recent problem.  I get two error messages when you attempt to start the AE:

    Screen Shot 2016-06-23 at 12.19.10 PM.png Screen Shot 2016-06-23 at 12.19.12 PM.png

    When I go to users > library > preferences > adobe > consequences, that's what I see:

It seems that AE did not create folders for the last update?  The my computer for missing files search turns up no results.  AE uninstalling and reinstalling does not solve the problem.

    Please visit this link.

After completing the information on the link, the problem persists. And after all sorts of solutions, I just deleted the folder 13.8 and the AE iniciates perfectly.

  • When I start my computer I get a message that says that the file < root windows > \system32\hal.dll. is damaged or missing.

    file HAL.dll

When I start my computer I get a message that says that the file

\system32\hal.dll. is damaged or missing. Please reinstall a copy of the file. I have the original Windows XP CD and I tried to re - install, but it will not go beyond the implementation of window. I can't sign in to windows. How can I reintall this file?

It's extremely likely that you will need to replace the hal.dll and since there are seven files on the XP installation CD that will extend into hal.dll, which would you choose?  It depends on your hardware, but it is extremely likely that the problem (did I already say that?).  I've never had to replace a file hal.dll for this problem.

The real problem is most likely that XP just can not find the file because of a file system corruption or a file c:\boot.ini afflicted.

For this error, I would always be first boot from the XP Recovery Console and sometimes run a chkdsk-r that will fix things right to the top.

If the chkdsk /r is clean and you have the same problem, and then re-create your c:\boot.ini file but rename the old one first so you don't build on top of those afflicted - this tidbit is absent from MS KB article that assumes too.

You can do all this in the XP Recovery Console, but do go through these methods in this article and see how you go.

For example, method 1 will not work if your system does not start.  You may have more luck with other "methods".

If that doesn't work, then I suggest to provide a little more information about your system:

Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Your system have IDE or SATA disks?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a real installation CD bootable XP which is the same Service Pack as your installed Service Pack? (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

  • My PC does not allow me to down load anything, that is to say that the files cannot be verified, and he also says that my certificate is not valid. does anyone have ideas, what it means

I am trying the load Kaspersky Pure, but it says that the file cannot be verified

    Two questions for you:

    1. Please quote the exact verbatim of the message you get.

    2. you say "Download", but don't you mean "Download" or "install"? Don't miss the download or installation fails after you have successfully downloaded the file.

Just in case you are confused as to what the words mean, please read the following:

The word 'Download' means to copy a file (perhaps a program file, but not necessarily) from a server somewhere on the internet for your computer. Please invert not that Word with 'install', which means to load a program on your hard disk in a form from which it can be executed.

Generally, you install a program from a CD, a floppy disk or on the internet. Only in the latter case, the internet, is there any download involved, but even then, it's a two step process: first download you from the internet, and then you install it.

    Hello

    1. do you get this error during installation, downloading or playing the game?

    2. What is the amount of free space on the hard drive?

Method 1: clean boot the computer and check if the problem occurs.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: Follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

Method 2: uninstall and then reinstall the game and see if the problem still occurs.

    Hope this information helps
